Mohit Goyat - Young Gun 

Mohit Goyat is known for his speed and agility. The young Raider has made heads turn in the past couple of seasons in the PKL, when he represented Puneri Paltan.

The youngster has been selected for the upcoming Asian Kabaddi Championships. Mohit Goyat will be a key player in India's title defence in South Korea. The tournament will take place between June 27th  to 30th June.

Age and Background

Mohit Goyat was born on 19 January 2000 and hails from Bhaini Kungar village, Bhiwani District, Haryana. He started playing kabaddi when he was around 11 years old. He had been learning his skills from coach Jagbir Sihag. Mohit takes inspiration & looks up to team India kabaddi players - Naveen Kumar Goyat and Monu Goyat. Coach Anup Kumar's Puneri Paltan signed Mohit Goyat, for 8 lakhs, who scored a massive 179 points in 13 matches in the recently held K7 Kabaddi Stage Up Tournament. Mohit will lap up this opportunity to work with Anup, who was a brilliant raider and strategist in his times. 

Naveen Kumar's impressive ride for Dabang Delhi KC helped Mohit Goyat to concentrate more on the game. Mohit Goyat had consistent support from the family as well. Soon, he took up the game seriously and became the captain of the Bhaini School. Notably, Naveen Kumar is the ambassador for Kabaddi in the school.

At K7 Kabaddi Stage Up, Mohit was the captain of Bhaini School. A right raider, Mohit is good at hand touch skills and jump over the chain. His best moment in the tournament came from the league match 20 against Parveen and Jasvir Academy where he outshined a valiant effort by Himanshu Virender and scored 35 points to win that thriller by 1 point. He certainly carries a calm head under pressure which will give him an edge over the others. 

Role and Playing Style

Mohit Goyat plays as an all-rounder/raider. He is known for his speed and agility. Blessed with quick feet, his ability to escape with ease, take faster decisions and play according to the situations makes him one of the best all-rounders in the team. Mohit Goyat's confidence stands out as well.

Domestic Team

Mohit Goyat used to play for his state, Haryana. He has represented the team in Junior Nationals as well. Apart from that, Mohit Goyat played for Bhaini School Kabaddi Academy while growing up. In fact, he has captained the team in K7 Kabaddi Stage Up.

Current Team

Mohit Goyat made heads turn when he got into Puneri Paltan in Pro Kabaddi League season 8. The raider was retained by the team in the next season. He is a regular Right Raider for the Puneri Paltan team.

Price in PKL

In the PKL Season 8, Mohit Goyat went for INR 8 Lakhs in the auction. In PKL season 9 auction, Puneri Paltan retained the star with the price of INR 20 Lakhs. Considering his growth in the past couple of seasons, Mohit Goyat is likely to go for a higher price in the upcoming edition. One shouldn't be surprised if Puneri Paltan retains him for a much higher price before the PKL 10.
